The ‘Trump effect’ – he’s already changing the world

Friday-weekend blog

Donald Trump doesn’t take office till 20th January 2025. But his landslide election win is already changing the world. Here are just a few bits of good news. We can expect much more to follow. Though you’ll have to look for such Trump good news stories on alternative media – I rather doubt you’ll see any of them on the BBC or any other similar Trump-loathing UK mainstream media.

Iran’s currency collapse

In 2015, at the time of Iran’s nuclear deal with world powers, the rial was at 32,000 to $1. On July 30, the day that Iran’s reformist President Masoud Pezeshkian was sworn in following the unfortunate helicopter ‘accident’ which sent the previous Iranian President to Paradise and his 72 virgins, the rate was 584,000 to $1.

Iran’s currency fell on Wednesday to an all-time low as Donald Trump clinched the U.S. presidency again, signaling new challenges ahead for Tehran as it remains locked in the wars raging in the Middle East.

The rial traded at 703,000 rials to the dollar, traders in Tehran said, breaking through the record before recovering slightly later in the day to 696,150 to $1. It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the rally but Iran’s Central Bank has in the past flooded the market with more hard currencies as an attempt to improve the rate. The slide comes as the rial already faces considerable woes over its sharp slide in value — and as the mood on the streets of Tehran among some darkened.

What a shame! I wonder how the Mad Mullahs will explain to their long-suffering people that the collapse in their currency is the will of the Prophet PBUH

Humbling Hamas

It has been reported that Hamas are now beginning to talk about agreeing to a ceasefire after Trump warned: “We want our hostages back and they better be back before I assume office, or you will be paying a very big price.”

Lawfare can go both ways

The corrupt Democrats have been using lawfare to try to bankrupt Trump and keep him tied up in court cases to prevent him from campaigning. But now that Trump has won the election, he’s fighting back and lawfare can go both ways.

I saw of video of Trump saying what he will do. I hope that he can and that Europe follows, but we need to remember what happened to Kennedy. He also has to deal with the Fed and the bankers. It isn’t going to be as easy as he thinks. We have our problems. The debt and state support is now so large and unsustainable that it is almost impossible to see how to deal with it.

The collapse of the Iranian currency means people suffer even more and I have seen quite a few comments about the dollar collapsing. China and Russia are apparently buying gold and one expert claimed that if Russia ties its currency to to gold that the dollar would collapse.

So satisfying. We ‘far right thugs’ don’t often get something to smile about but I haven’t stopped grinning since Wednesday.
