Should we really celebrate ‘war criminal’ Blair’s Paralympics triumphs?

There is one thing we can be certain about with the Paralympics – Britain will win an awful lot of medals. Why? Because ‘war criminal’ (in my opinion) Blair sent our troops intotwo unnecessary wars with insufficient helicopters and insufficient armoured vehicles. This left British soldiers much more exposed to IEDs (improvised explosive devices) than troops from other countries. Result -comparatively more British troops were killed or maimed by IEDs than say US soldiers.

This has left Britain with a huge cohort of healthy, strong young men and women missing arms and legs. We should admire the courage of these injured soldiers in the way they have fought back to live normal lives in spite of their often horrificinjuries. But we should feel a deep sense of shame that Blair’sdishonesty in taking us into these wars and Brown’sarrogance in refusing to fund enough military equipment have given Britain so many paralympic champions.

As for Blair and Brown – both of them have become multimillionaires who will continue to gorge themselves on taxpayers’ money till the day they die. So they don’t give a monkey’s about those whose lives have been ruined by their greed, stupidity, vanity, dishonesty and incompetence.
